I can see where these would work well on shades that weren’t measured properly and had a lot of space on each side, but ours were measured so well there is not enough space to put one on each side. Our bedroom faces east so we get the early morning sun and the tiny gap we have with the sun shining on our face wakes us up. These are sturdy and well made. I will recommend them to other people, just did not work for us.
